Behind the scenes: scrutineering and preparation before Limanowa

Before the first engine fires there is paperwork, the scales and the scrutineers. How a race weekend actually begins for the team from Užice.

A race weekend does not begin on the start line. It begins by unloading the cars from the transporter, raising the awning and working through a list of checks that must be complete before anyone turns a wheel.

Scrutineering covers safety equipment, weighing the car, and checking documentation and licences. In parallel the team's mechanics work on the engine — final checks on torque settings, fluid levels and installations.

Race numbers and driver markings go on by hand, on site. It is the last step before a car becomes a competition entry.
